Project Overview

Fairfield Waters is a fully master planned community, located on the banks of Ross River, featuring landscaped parkland and lake reserve over a 234-hectare site, which includes 2,300 home sites and 40 hectares of lake and parkland reserves. 

 

Commencing in 1997 Hansen Constructions NQ delivered civil construction residential and commercial subdivision works on 90% of the subdivisions comprising Fairfield Waters Estate. 

 

Appointed as Principal Contractor, provision of civil construction works for residential and commercial subdivision including bulk earthworks, road construction, culvert construction; stormwater drainage, water and sewerage reticulation; conduits (electrical / communications / NBN), erosion and sediment control works, acoustic fencing, preservation and protection of existing natural vegetation (individual and group trees).  

 

Additionally, these works included installation of North Queensland’s first aquifer recharge device, river stabilisation of severely eroded riverbanks, excavation, lake creation and protection of underground aquifers, contamination management and remediation and management and remediation of unconsolidated fill on site. 

 

Constructed to Townsville City Council standards for infrastructure, Hansen Constructions NQ built a section of Lakeland Boulevard for Department of Transport and Main Roads.
